Hi, my names Chris and I live in Bolton, Lancashire (UK). I work as a firefighter for Greater Manchester Fire Service and Im also a member of a mountain rescue team.I love the outdoors and try to get out as much as I can as well as keeping fit at the gym. I enjoy fell and hill walking/mountaineering as well as rock climbing. More recently I have also taken up Scuba Diving and Skiing.

Best Climbing Experience
In 2003 I went on a weeks climbing holiday in Costa Daurada in Spain. The weather was sunny everyday the scenery was spectacular, the beer was cold :) and it was my first taste of limestone rock and outdoor sports climbing, had an amazing time.

Interests Outside Climbing
I'v been climbing now indoor and outdoor for around 8 years and tend to get outdoors mostly in spring/summer or whenever the weather is reasonable. I climb mostly single pitch at local crags and quarries like Wilton, Cadshaw and Troy and also at other crags in Lancashire, Cumbria and Derbyshire. I have climbed multi pitch in the lakes and Wales.

Anything Else We Should Know
I also enjoy climbing indoors which is usually when the evenings are too dark or the weather too wet, my local indoor walls are Preston, Manchester and Stockport.
