Winter climbing addict - nothing quite like the hot aches on every pitch (for real)...
Live for weekend raids to Scotland off the Caledonian Sleeper.
Pretty useless without axes and crampons - widely regarded to be a hilariously shocking rock climber.
Also a big subscriber to high altitude misery fests.

Best Climbing Experience
Tough one, but standout memories definitely include:
- Our first ascent of a 5000m peak in Kyrgyzstan,
- The 3 7000m Snow Leopard mountains I've climbed are particularly memorable,
- Doing Slab Climb (VI,7) and Scabbard Chimney (V,6) in the dark,
- Soloing Indicator Wall on hero ice with no one else in Observatory Gully and arriving on top of the Ben alone,
- Tilt (VI,7) and Messiah (VII,7) - possibly the best winter routes I have done,
- Doing the Kuffner Arete followed by a traverse of Mont Blanc (with Trench foot...),
- 8 days climbing/trekking/fighting cows in the Paron Valley with Murray and not seeing any other people,
- Simuling a super thin Orion Direct in two pitches,
- Getting wrecked by the cold on the Vallee Blanche in winter.

Anything Else We Should Know
Started climbing at 18/19. Cannot see the point in redpointing.

For the stalkers - logbook accurate from about 2016 before then anyone's guess - I mainly only logged alpine routes before. Only now log winter/alpine/mixed routes. Generally don't log DNFs or doggeds, and a number of seconds from a while ago. Huge fan of savage logbook comments banter (sorry Murray).
