I started climbing with the student club at UEA in Norwich in 2013 and since then have managed to get a fair bit done despite living in proper flat country. I quite like the idea of using this section to keep track of what I've done and the things I want to achieve each year, so here goes...

2017 has been my busiest (and best) climbing year so far: breaking that 7a barrier, finally getting to grips with trad, and travelling around a bit with the best climbing partner anyone could ask for. Highlights included Kalymnos for sport, Cornwall and Pembroke for trad, and Burbage for a magnificent solo day out. Lows have been the greasy crack on Sennen's Demo Route (cried), getting lost en route to the summit after topping out Agag's Groove (cried again) and men at various indoor walls giving me advice I never asked for (quietly seethed).

I've got a few goals for the coming year: get over my fear of falling, lead a couple of HVS routes, get more comfortable at 7a/7a+, find a harder sport route to project. A longer term goal: don't cry when mildly scared on trad - it isn't helpful.
