Daniel Davies.

First climbing experience, Stone Farm (SE Sandstone) circa 1982. Southern Sandstone is still my home (and best loved) rock. I learned to climb with Plymouth Poly MC between 1987-90. And fell in love with the SW Limestone and Granite. Pat Littlejon's seminal book SW Climbs is still the best! Joined UBMC (Bristol) 1991, when I trained to become a Teacher, then climbed with them until 1998 when I left to travel around the world. For eight years based in Melbourne, and climbed throughout Vic including at Arapalies, Grampians, Mt Buffalo, Cathedral ranges Ben Cairn (still have the guide book if anyone is interested!). I am lucky enough to have also climbed in America, Africa, Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, New Zealand, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Poland, Czech republic, all over the UK and Eire too so I guess I shouldn't grumble!
If anyone out there remembers me, I'd love to get in touch!

Location
Groombridge, East Sussex.

Best Climbing Experience
Sacre Cour with the direct finish, and Loose Woman at Blackchurch, Heart of the Sun and Midnight Cowboy at Baggy, Wreckers Slab at Cornakey (is there a looser cliff anywhere?), The Old Man of Hoy, Left Wall, Lich Gates and an almost suicidal onsight solo of Memories at Avon Gorge to name a few.
