Late 1950s vintage. Cut my teeth (and knuckles) on grit when I was at school and still think that there's nothing like it. Now trying to make time to get out regularly. I even keep a log so if I'm scratching around here for potential partners they can see what they might be getting.Currently laid off - bust my hip joint & pelvis taking a ground fall early in May. I salute all those good folk who helped me - nearby climbers, Edale MRT, the Air Ambulance and Northern General Hospital.

Best Climbing Experience
A day out with an old friend, ambling down the Eastern edges of the Peak from Stanage to Birchen and picking off a route or two on each one. A long, tiring day with no car hassles because at the time neither of us had one and the buses and trains did all we needed.
