Best Climbing Experience
Was on the Chief - face climbing and crack climbing, and Squamish crack climbing. Also stemming a 5.10d though it had to be on top rope due to nowhere to place gear. A flake climb was also good fun, there's a good mixture of climbing at Squamish.
Smith Rock, US, 2nd.
Favourite Climbing-Related Discussion Topic
Trad rock climbing.
Recently climbed at Smith Rock, among the 10 climbs we did in 2 days, 'Spiderman buttress' was one; and we were prepared for the 4 pitches of Monkey face, being led mind you, and the 3rd pitch is an aid pitch. The weather prevented that, so I am going back to do that in the not too distant future. The climbing grades there are old skool, meaning the same grades at Squamish are 2 grades higher at Smith Rock' basically. So 5.8 is more like 5.10 commonly.

About My Photography
I've a Nikon coolshot, 10 mega pix as it is a good size for climbing/ skiing etc and not too big. Many locally tend to like my camera and tell me they want to buy the same one. Though there are better ones, such as SLR professional cameras.

Anything Else We Should Know
New for 2016: in December I'm being introduced to ice climbing. I met Fred Beckey in Washington via a friend that climbed with him over there, and got his autograph (not sure I still have it around though).
I completed my intense one day trad lead course at Squamish by a recognised guide 'Colin Moorhead' who is also known for first ascents at Squamish, such as 'Brothers in arms' on the Chief 5.12C in 2003 as Squamish Select guide book shows. He teaches aid, trad, sport, and alpine. He taught me a one day lead course (intense) instead of 2 days after seeing me climb with his friend a Physics Professor at UBC that recommended him to me, a 5.10c 'popeye and the raven' stemming climb on top rope.
He assessed my nut placements as 'bomber'
