I grew up in the Llanberis area and started climbing there as a teenager. I ended up at Sheffield Uni and climbed a bit, but was really into mountain biking at that time. I spent a few more years working in N Wales after Uni and then moved to Chamonix in 2000. In Cham I mostly skied but also did a fair number of alpine routes. I moved to the Ecrins in 2006 and have enjoyed the ice, alpine and sport climbing in that area. 2015 saw a move back to the UK, now in the Llanberis area again.

Interests Outside Climbing
Other than climbing I am also a very keen skier, I enjoy the steeps, and have a few first descents to my name, both in Europe, and in Alaska.
I used to compete a lot in mountain biking, first in XC, then in DH, and then in big enduro events, such as the now famous Megavalanche

About My Photography
I try and carry a small camera with me most of the time and get lots of activity snaps. I tend to take loads of pics, most of which get binned, but the odd good one crops up here and there.
