I completed my MIA training in October 2008 and successfully passed my assessment in August 2010. Over the past seven years I have taught a wide variety or people to climb – of all ages and abilities; from the very basics to climbing techniques, lead climbing, building belays and falling practice. I have taught in all manner of situations and locations, indoors and outdoors, sea cliffs to mountain crags and in all weathers. I have also guided clients on classic routes in North Wales.
My personal climbing has taken me to a range of locations both in the UK and overseas. In the UK I have climbed extensively in North Wales and Pembroke, the South West (and Lundy) and the Peak District. I have also been lucky enough to climb in France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Australia and New Zealand.
I’ve also been putting in some time in winter climbing in the last few years with trips to Scotland and Norway.
