Anyone got any advice for a guide that broadly covers Snowdonias climbing and scrambling highlights? We'll mostly be climbing but would like the topos for some of Tryfans scrambles etc.
The traditional option is the Steve Ashton guide, the OG, as it were.
My favourite option is the Garry Smith guide, lovely tactile book with feels quite personal.
Then there is the new Rockfax, which is the newest and probably the most comprehensive.
Edit: totally missed the climbing part! Sorry. I'd get Garry Smith and North Wales Rock.
Thanks! I'll have a look at the Garry Smith.
Does North Wales Rock cover any scrambles? Bristly Ridge etc?

North Wales Rock doesn't have any scrambles in it.
The most scrambles (and walks) are in the Snowdonia Mountain Walks and Scrambles Rockfax.
The most climbs are in North Wales Climbs Rockfax
The scrambles and climbs are also part of the North Wales Climbs package in Rockfax Digital which means they are displayed together there.

Also worth noting that Rockfax publications and Rockfax Digital are integral to supporting UKC and UKH.
Which Steve Ashton guide - the 100 classic climbs North Wales? Does that have scrambles? I didn't think so.
You can't do much better than the Steve Ashton guide, and it's witty with it.
