Best practice for removing old rusted nuts?

What is the best way to remove old rusting nuts, without damaging or weakening the surrounding rock.

depends on how and where they are placed - some are pretty dam hard to get at others are easy to remove.. with nut and a hammer,

no the kids wanted tea !!

Generally one has to be very careful some very old bits of gear are pretty much welded in so hammering them out means damage to rock.. better off creating a thread with some tat if the nuts a good one ...
