This is one of most joyously ridiculous but still totally hardcore climbing videos I've seen in ages. Alan rocked up in Finland just around when I left but I know him through 'social' and have had the chance to climb with him once when I was back visiting. Anyone else think he looks like a more beefy and better looking Alex Honnold?

Anyway, Al came up with the idea of riding his bike the roughly 500 kms from his current home in Northern Finland, out the top of the country into Norway, down to the sea, across the Lyngen Peninsular, through Tromsø, and over to Kvaløya to where the European Arctic's best 'little big wall' is - Blåmann. He then soloed aided one of the routes up it over a few days, staggered down and rode the 500 kms back to Finland.

Alan is indeed a nutter in the best way possible. And no stranger to suffer fest. But Kustavi made him get a pair of jammies .
