I climbed The Stalk at Plum Buttress in Chee Dale this afternoon and the fixed tat you ab from is in a dodgy state. I’m a bit of a wuss at abseiling at the moment but it is pretty crap- the sling I thought was the best bit turned out to be frayed to near-uselessness on inspection behind the block.
Anyway, I left a nice new sling and a DMM Phantom on there (plus another decent sling on a block in the break at the top of the route as I couldn’t retrieve this on abseil...) and I’m more than happy for anyone who replaces the tat collection with something more permanent to keep it all. It’s a good route and would make a nice evening for someone Peak-based with a few metres of static to spare.
