Yosemite Wall (7a+)

Hi. Not been on this route for a few years. Might get on it tomorrow. Reading comments in log books, some recent ones refer to a "redirect chain" on the route that was certainly not there when I was last on the route. Can anyone enlighten me as to what this is and how it affects/helps climbing the route (or is it to do with helping to strip the route?)

It’s there to strip the route, and also Against the Grain and Taking the Space, be careful to follow the original route as there is a direct variation which goes up to the left of the original before you get to the knee bars just after the first crux.

Or get your very capable second to strip it  I managed to for Mark (with 2 rests!). Still a great experience.
