Hi

Quite a while back I posted about Steve Ashtons guide book on Scrambles in Snowdonia, and the topic of Yr Esgair kind of came up a bit, I've just found this great video on YouTube of a chap doing the ridge.

Just posted just for completeness

I thought it was going to be Brave Dave for a minute.

Looks fairly hairy!

There is only one way up and that is via Bryant's Gully, an excellent scramble!

Excellent indeed, but on a different mountain ;-)

I was thinking of the Esgair Felen ridge, my mistake.

I subscribe to this chap's youtube channel - some excellent POV footage of the harder scrambles.

Thanks for posting - brought back memories of an eminently un/forgettable attempt on this in winter!

At first I found the Gopro wide-angle annoying so I skipped on to ca. 6 mins, when the climber is on the crux, and from there on I was hooked - just like Free Solo! A really good illustration of why 3S might as well be E3 5a.
