OK, so far we have a few uses for all those classic coffee table books:
peurile ticking / oneupmanship,
doorstop,
dog braining.
and I've used mine for step ups for strengthening an injured ankle.
Any more creative uses (real ones only folks!)

In reply to Jim at Work: the Lancashire brick is the perfect height to go under my fro t wheel when I'm using the turbo trainer.
