Hi,

We're looking to get out for the day from London on Saturday as the weather looks unseasonably good. Thinking of heading to Avon Gorge but we've never climbed there before so wondered if some locals/regulars could answer some questions?

I saw the rockfall on unknown wall but presumably sea walls are still OK? Planning to warm up on some of the severes then maybe give Gronk a bash.

Is it likely to be dry given that Friday and Saturday look reasonably dry/warm?

How busy does the crag get normally on a weekend?

Any help much appreciated!

Cheers

Tom

In reply to thomaspomfrett:
sea walls should be fine on Saturday. They are very quick drying and will be in the sun from mid morning, so can get warmish even in winter. Depending on where you normally climb, I suspect that even if its busy by Avon standards it'll still seem fairly quiet. It does look good on Saturday, and I was hoping to get out myself, but looks like life is having other ideas.
In reply to Monk: Awesome, thanks Monk. Fingers crossed you can manage to get out too.
