B3 boots

Did anyone else have a pair of B3 climbing boots in the 80s, nothing to do with crampon ratings - they weren't even invented then. They were (if my memory is correct) british made rock boots. Good for edging but a bit like wellies compared to modern shoes

No real reason, just an idle thought...

I had a pair,about 1985 I think. Weren't they made in N.Yorks by Colin Binks? Although I could have that completely wrong.I'm sure Chris Craggs would know.

They were my first pair back when we were tackling Windgather and Castle Naze.
They were miles better than trainers.
