Hello all

Quick question was supposed to do the cullin ridge this weekend but weather looks iffy and will decide when im up there. Can anybody recommend a back up plan we will be based in aviemore.

Ideally want a long route something with an alpine feel with a grade no greater than v diff / severe. I know Glen Coe and Lochaber fairly well but would prefer to stay east .

Many thanks in advance

In reply to kingjam:

Eagle Ridge is IMO more like Hard Severe, a great day out though. Cumming-Crofton is another good suggestion at Severe.

In reply to kingjam: Good suggestions above. What about Talisman on Creagan a' Coire Etchacan. Walk in via Loch Avon and back out over Macdui. If the weather's not good enough for the climb then you've had a fine walk through great scenery and maybe whet your appetite for a return visit.

In reply to kingjam: Pygmy Ridge on the Fiacaill Ridge (not sure of the spelling!) is pretty good fun, think its only a moderate though.
