I've just been down to New Mills Tor for a boulder and found the rock under Bionic's Wall to be quite badly scratched and chipped. I can only imagine that these scratches were caused by someone climbing on the rock with crampons on.
Maybe it hasn't been made clear enough on here in the past?! Or maybe some people genuinely don't realise what they are doing. Dry tooling on well established rock routes is out of order. You permanently change or ruin exsiting climbs by doing so.
