For the Lakes (kind of) I nominate Fisherman's boulder, but it's only got 2 sides really...

https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/st_bees_head-769/fishermans_dyno-4...

Location's 2nd to none.

For the Lakes proper, Boardman's Bouder. Again, 2 1/2 sides, roughly.

Badger Rock is a great boulder, but it has 0 amazing problems and is the wrong height. Then there's the Bowderstone, but that's wrong in so many ways...

In reply to rtinma:

The Virgin Boulder @ Almscliff meets some of the criteria.

The Bowderstone?

The Barrel @ Dinas Mot don't actually know this one but fairly sure there will be lots in North Wales and the Lakes

Scotland lots.... ?

Barry The Boulder @ Stoupe Brow ?

Edit as links to individual crag buttress didn't actually work from the insert crag link function.

Lovely writing, take a bow.  Two more locations to add to the list for when I get the time to explore the country! Let's hope the knees haven't given out by then!

Edited to add - should I be proud or ashamed that I instantly recognised TPK's contribution?

They do have some quite nice boulders in Wales.
try the Super boulder at Braich Melyn, Bethesda  or many others?

Ha Ha. Very nice. By the way I've just moved to Bristol and am loving your Esoteric Bouldering book. I've already explored Huckman Quarry and its amazing land that time forgot. Also Fingertip Wall and Burrington Coombe. I'm looking forward to the Forest of Dean boulders.

It's a good'un! Quite the trek though. I think worth it, but then I like walking.

In reply to DerwentDiluted:

2nd vote for Torridon,

I'd throw my hat into the ring as the best bouldering in Britain.

When's it's dry. And not midgy

Any of the Dumby boulders by any criteria other than location.

The Drakestone is pretty impressive and in a great setting that you will have all to yourself.

Bit big mind...

I know it's mostly harder lines but certainly one of the proudest and high quality boulders in England: Careless Torque (f8A)

There are so many great boulders out there, including some those already mentioned.  The boulders at Langdale, Wavelength and Glen Nevis are all up there.  One of my favourite boulders is at Buckstones - https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/buckstones_edge_nont_sarahs-9058/p...
