It’s the end of the year and time to reflect on my performance. Supporters through the turntables are dwindling and the referees seem to have it in for me ( red card dabs! ) I can occasionally drag my weary carcass up a font 7a if it’s a home game but away matches ( steep slopey stuff or steep fingery stuff or slabs or indeed anything that isn’t a vertical traverse!) usually has the manager threatening to drop me from the team.
Although I have the odd match which give the plaudits the impression that there’s still life in the old dog yet, the knackers yard feels uncomfortably close by, By my reckoning I’m currently fighting relegation from league two
