I luxated my shoulder last weekend falling mountain biking. It's an AC joint separation, grade 3. The doctor recommended me not to operate since recovery would take longer and for my grade there is no scientific evidence that operating would produce better results (apart from aesthetically).
I am wondering nonetheless if not operating would affect my strength and mobility specifically for climbing. Before the accident I was climbing 8a/8b, which in my case required training 3/4 times/week at least.
