Are you sure you had the correct descent. Sounds like what remains of Terriers Tooth, further right (South) when the first pitch fell into the sea. Hope we haven't lost another bit of this great seacliff. Dexter/Mermaid was a great combo.

I'm pretty sure something big has moved at the bottom of mermaid's climb after a stormy winter a year or so ago. Can't remember the exact details though.

This is definitely Mermaids not TT, on the right as you look down Ash Can Gully. Climbed round the rock scar looking for gear and ended up on the ledge in the corner 12 ft or so above where you move across to the main face. Certainly not V diff to go the old way, and the remaining ledge seems to be a bit poised in space like a pulpit. Everything above the bottom foot of the climber in the pic detailed above has gone. If it went two winters ago they must have used old pic to do the topo in the new CC guide.
