Hi all, any suggestions to the best guide book for someone looking to climb in the north east of scotland? I'm just starting out and looking for information.

Thanks Liam

If you are in the bit of Scotland North of Inverness which could probably still be called "North East Scotland".

In reply to LiamJC:
North East Outcrops and the Cairngorms guide books from SMC would do (assuming you mean south of the moray firth).

Cheers,

Stuart

If you're just starting out, I'd go for this

Unless you've got plenty of spare money, in which case go for all the books that others have suggested

In reply to Toreador:

In which the coverage of The Moray coast is very minimal, and the coverage of Aberdeen area non-existent??

NEO + NHN / NHC / Cairngorms / Scottish Rock Vol2 as required.

Now he's clarified his location I'd go for the general guide plus NE outcrops. Or if money's no object, all of the books you've listed
