Small Crag at Worsley Green, Manchester?

I was cycling through Worsley (Salford / Manchester) this morning and saw what looks like a small sandstone crag (looks like an old mine or something, fenced off, but with a path going down to it).

Does anyone know what the deal is? Does it get climbed on?

Well unless the garden owner climbs I doubt it very much, Al Hubbard lived up the road so I recon he and Martyn Boysen may have had a dable in their youth pre 1920's but I've never seen any chalk on it n I driven past it at least once a week over the past 25 years.

In reply to innesmac: Travelling anticlockwise on the M60, get off at junction 13 and take the first exit off the roundabout. It's immediately on your left just before you reach the tudor style estate agents. You can see it on google street view although it's heavily disguised by summer foliage.

Next door to the Chinese restaurant. Had a look before they locked the gate to it afew years back, very impressive lines and a nice traverse. Left hand arête looked amazing too
