Hi,

I’ve watched the following BMC Videos in preparation to going to Harrison's Rocks.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-PC2PDyNKFCT4n34V8U6YfM3jZuAesoi

The videos talk about not lowering off the climbs so at to not put stress on the anchors/rocks.

These might be silly questions but...

  1. What if the climber wants to hang for a while during the climb?
  2. What if the climber can't finish the route and doesn't have the strength to down climb?

Thanks
Ben
In reply to JaminCat:

In both those situations sitting on the rope and being lowered is fine. It is just a plea to stop unnecessary lowering off when you have reached the top and have the option to walk down.
