Please move this if this is in the wrong location. But has anyone else noticed Steve Mclure never has his laces done up, I don't think I've seen a picture or video with his laces tied. Imagine what he could do if he had them on properly :P
I was told that it's a not so subtle method of advertising to all around that the climber is climbing well below his grade. I know this to be true of at least two people that I know but wouldn't like to comment on Steve.
On a masterclass a few yes ago, I asked why. Answer, "the shoes just fit my feet so well I don't need to".
