For anyone climbing Suicide Wall, be aware that the two pegs on pitch 4 (5c pitch) are blocked by a large Maillion on the top peg, and an alloy screw gate on the bottom peg which has corroded shut. This was linked with thin tat and an old nut( which has been removed). Guessing someone bailed off. Surely if bailing off it’s easy enough to then ab for your tat(here at least) or leave snapgates that can be removed by subsequent parties rather than blocking in situ gear. 

Surely a more important warning would be of the utterly horrific polish?

So you can just thread the krab or maillon? Not a big deal. Nice to tidy it up if you can.

Yep, the maillion not a big deal, steel so should last a good while, more to the point was using an alloy screw gate which vert quickly becomes an exfoliating mess , this rendering the better of the two pegs unless. Why not just tie the cord to the peg, then it can be cut off.

You're right of course, why waste a screwgate on the peg at all. I find it surprising if it's corroded shut already on a popular route. Hopefully some will force it off.

The pegs are both redundant really as there is bomber gear nearby.
