This one is a common and popular gritstone plummet.

If he anticipated the likely outcome then all credit to him for giving it a go. The gear is bomber and the fall is clean- go for it!

It says in the description " Well worth attempting as a true ground-up, on-sight" Why on earth would anyone top rope this first?

Regarding the OP - that top move can't have been easy with 37 kilos of useless gear wrapped round his waist
