Hi my wife wants to try climbing so I'm looking for a good place to top rope. I took her to pontsford rocks but she didn't like being half way up a hill as it added to the exposure!! She said a quarry like trowbarrow would be good but were not up there anymore so is there anywhere with easy climbing and good places to put up a top rope. Were based in knighton powys for the week and happy to travel a max of 50 miles?

In reply to adam11: cheers for that just had look at the logbook for it and it seems the easy routes are chossy with poor topouts? is this a true representation of the easy stuff as its a bit of a drive to have to back off!

In reply to dmor9: The h/vdiff type stuff there isn't the best on the crag, but the top outs are mostly flat with stakes in place. It's popular with groups and 'Outward Bound' types. I started my own kids climbing there.
