I am going on a climbing trip to Valle Dell'orco soon and I am wondering if we are going to need to rent a car to go climbing there, or if we can get to the crags by walking.
We will be staying at Camping la peschera, and climbing mostly on Sergent.

Has anyone been there?

I was there a few years ago, I would say you would be fairly to very limited without a car. The sergeant has lots to do, but there are lots of great crags up and down the valley that would hard to access. It's a fairly quiet valley, you might get lucky with lifts from other climbers or locals, but I wouldn't plan your trip around that.

Also there aren't really any shops, so unless you plan on bringing all your supplies up by public transport it could be tricky.

All that said, orco is an amazing place and has some fantastic climbing, enjoy!

We had our van but then walked everywhere in the upper valley from the campsite. Sergeant, capital, dado etc are all easily walkable from there and more than enough for a week. Not sure how you get there on public transport and the weather tends to be pretty fickle in orco so you might need a car to escape
