The CC Guide book for the lizard area mentions a 1000m sea level traverse that starts at soap gully and finishes at Vellan head.

Has anyone done it? There's not much info in the book or on the logbook. If anyone has done it, is it soloable? which line does it take at the end and whats the approach like?

Thanks

I had a quick look whilst on a walk a few years back.

The approach is just a walk down an easy slope: https://goo.gl/maps/BiWXU2uLgd69WDpM9

I made it to the first difficultly after 300m (https://goo.gl/maps/df7LXWUcTG1EQHka7) which looked like it required an abseil; could perhaps be bypassed on a rather low tide; or climbed at VS or above. I need to get back really, i love a sea-level traverse and this one's always looked good.

The water round here isn't the best for deep water soloing - lots of rocks and protrusions. Having said that, it probably is soloable - if you are prepared to swim round bits which are too sketchy.
