I've just been approached by the landowner at Whitehouses and asked to leave. He is not happy about people climbing there at all.
The crag itself is on a public footpath which he seemed not to know exactly where it went. (it goes directly past the crag).
His issues were with the fact that permission to climb had not been sought, and the fear of liability for any accidents.
Does he have the right to stop people from climbing there, it being a public right of way?
Hopefully someone with better knowledge than me will be able to help. It would be a big loss if climbing here was no longer allowed.
