So I’m planning on doing longer days out and using OS maps on my IPhone. Is there anything on the market that will keep my phone waterproof and help me carry it while running? Or is it the standard ziplock?

I’ve tried a few things and by far the best have been Aquapacs.  Not cheap and you need to get the right size for your phone but they work well.

I would second that recommendation, and would warn against a simple ziplock bag. I may have been unlucky to have one phone irreparably damaged in that way, but it's not a gamble I'd make again.

The cheap Home Bargains waterproof phone bags are good (I don't bother with the clip). My iPhone survived a trip through the washing machine inside one when I left it in a Buffalo shirt pocket.

Another recommendation for aquatic. They cost more than most, but it's because they're not shit.
