x-talon 212 red/blue vs black/yellow (vs 225)
I've just got a new pair of x-talons (black/yellow) to replace my worn down old pair (red/blue). I've had to order them online as I'm 2.5 hours from the nearest stockist and out the box it seems to me that the sole and ankle cuff have been made thicker ... unless my old ones just got super compressed with wear...anyone else noticed this? I like super stripped down shoes and the feel of them doesn't seem quite the same nimbleness as the old ones but maybe I'm just getting paranoid after la sportiva ruined my previous favorite shoe the crosslite by progressively beefing them up.
Also has anyone used the x-talon 225, if so how stripped down are they and is the fit the same as the 212? Wondering whether to have a punt on those. Or any other minimalist fell shoe suggestions? Cheers.

I just got scott supertrac rc. done 20ish miles in so far. they are amazing.! very minimalist. super grip and security. have a look.
