Are any of the plateaux worth a shot at the moment? Cairngorm/Macdui?

I walked up Macdui on Wednesday, up the ridge between Coire Lochain and Lurchers Gully and back via 1141. There was no snow on the ascent and descent ridges, nor on the Macdui-facing flank of Cairn Gorm, but an 80-90% cover (with some breaks) between Cairn Lochain and Macdui. I very much doubt that Lurchers is continuous, so you'd have at least an hour carrying skis at both ends of the trip.
