So I have bought myself some Atomic Backland Carbon ski boots with the idea of mixing technical climbing and skiing and I've used them a couple of times in the pyrenees (where I live) in quite good weather, they are super comfortable and great for climbing but my feet were a little cold... I have a trip to chamonix in february and I am concerned they're going to be way too cold for that...

has anyone tried these boots for winter in the alps?

does anyone have any tips to warm these boots up?

Not per se, but I doubt that they are much colder than other high performance lightweight touring boots (Dyna TLTs and PDGs, Scarpa F1s and Sportiva Syborgs). In fact, I think they might be the warmest of the bunch when comparing to the "racing" boots (Syborg, PDG).

For day trips, heated socks or foot beds... socks are more multipurpose as you can use 'em more easily in all shoes/boots.

You could try neoprene ski boots covers. There are a couple of types available without going down the full overboot route.
