Not sure if this is a long shot ? I wonder if anybody lives close to or drives by Ben lawers and can / could let me know how low the snow line is ( when it snows that is !) .
Thanks .

The Ben More webcam is useful for guessing Lawers conditions: http://www.benmorewebcam.co.uk/

Recently discovered this webcam. Looks north from Firbush Point on the south side of Loch Tay towards Tarmachan and Lawers.

Hopefully a snowier vista soon...

I live directly opposite it.
A tiny dusting about an hour ago, and I mean tiny.
Out my window I'd guess snowline, or dustline, as being 500m.
I'll try and remember to update again if we get the snow thats forecast.

Was walking on the Tarmachan and Lawers hills over the weekend there and there's only small small patches left, nothing to speak of. Ground was very moist.

snow is now all the way down to the loch. Lawers parking could be a fun drive.

10-15cm at 300m

really dry snow, completely unconsolidated on zero base.
If the winds pick up as forcasted its all going to move around a lot.

more snow forecasted tonight, we'll see what tomorrow brings
In reply to mike123:

Make sure you get out Friday/Saturday - thaw again possible on Sunday

no worries, happy to help.

we had, and are having, a bit more snow. But high winds last night and into this morning will definitely of shaped where the snow is now, some slopes are looking scoured.

Any idea what you might be up to Mike? I'm potentially partnerless for saturday if you fancy company.
