I'm after some cable bindings for my Lundhags ski boots, are they still made and if so, who sells them?

NB These are not NN 75mm type boots

Braemar Mountain Sports. If not, they'll tell you who does. They're very helpful.

Tried them already; I don't think they know what cable bindings are!

Try Rob or Dave at Mountain Spirit in Aviemore.

That seems odd as they sell them!

In reply to Flatus Vetus: If you mean something like the model 'Husky ski' I strongly suspect that a cable binding for a 75mm norm XC boot will be fine (& which Braemar will sell) Otherwise I suspect you'll have to look for Swedish/Finnish shops on line

Really? they look like standard 75mm duckbills in that link. If so, and you're after something equivalent to the discontinued Rottefella Riva, I think the cheapest and lightest option now is the Voile 3pin/cable binding, available from the Canadian Mt Coop or Telemark Pyrenees.

In reply to Flatus Vetus:

I guess what your after is an old school telemark bingings where they either have 75mm three pin front clamp binding or a sprung cable.

Rotefella used to make a wide range of bindings that would do this but the latest versions have too strong(rigid) a cable and are designed for plastic tele boots. I have pair of Rainey Super Loops which have been on my touring skis for about ten years now with no problems and have used them with leather boots in the past. If you trawl ebay and other secondhand places you might be able to find some.

This might give you some ideas:

In reply to Flatus Vetus: suspect something like http://www.braemarmountainsports.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&c... would work, or look for older cable models on eg ebay - such as Rottefella Rivas

There is a 75mm version (Husky 75) but my boots are the 89mm version (Husky Ski) They look similar but the toe on my version is shorter and wider.

In reply to Flatus Vetus: Presumably its a Swedish military standard? These fit the Finnish army boots: http://www.scandinavianoutdoorstore.com/en/laskettelu-ja-hiihto/murtomaahii... and are the standard forest ski binding here. Don't know if the Lundhag sole is the same as the Nokian sole though.

In reply to Flatus Vetus: you can see the boots normally used with that binding at the bottom of this page http://www.varuste.net/en/tuotetiedot2.php?_id=17350&nimi=Kuusamon+Uist...

Thanks for the info and links. I have now ordered a set of bindings and straps from Finland.
