Hi everyone, I'm planning on going to Mont Blanc next week and wonder what is a good amount to tip my guide. It is the four day climb and I am unable to find a range of money that is appropriate for this mountain.

Offer to buy them lunch when you get down, if you achieve your goals and you get on well.

Tipping a guide is not required, for either financial or cultural reasons.

Mostly agree, although achieving the goal shouldn't be a factor. Sometimes it's on the days when you don't achieve your goal that the guide has given the most.

That is true. When the weather or conditions are against you and you have to make the plan B feel and be as rewarding as the original goal.
