Looking to go to whistler for the first time. Can anyone advise on when the slopes are quieter ie avoiding Canadian school holidays etc. Also best to be based in Whistler or Blackcomb?

We've been a couple of times for long weekends (based in Seattle) and have enjoyed being based in Creekside - it's much easier to get somewhere within walking distance of the lifts for a reasonable price. Make sure you avoid US public holidays as well as Canadian ones!

I lived there for two seasons, November is a bit early, December is busy, Feb good, March there was lots of snow and it wasn't very busy best month by far. You could ride into July but probably not good for guaranteed snow. Enjoy cutting between the runs to find untracked powder and get a guided backcountry day if you afford it. I love the place!
