I've just bought a new pair of Anasazi lace-ups.

I'm determined to keep them smelling fresh but I have no idea how to go about it. My old pair of shoes smell worse than a pigs backside and I really don't want these to turn out the same.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Cheers

Buy some anti-bac hand wash.

Rub the insides of your boots with it, and put them on a cool wash inside a pilow case.

Anti-bac will kill the stench causing bacteria and keep them smelling fresh.

In reply to Chris Davids:

There are three certainties in life - death, taxes and smelly Anasazis. You can delay the onset of the pong by airing your shoes at every possible occasion - don't leave them festering in your rucksack between trips. In my experience, Scholl anti-odour sprays don't really do it, and washing them only has a temporary effect.
