We watched Dave repeat the route a fearless three times in a row - though he did rest the third time(!), which resulted in this cracking shot taken by Al.

SUMMER IN THE LAKES

Some of these shots will feature in our forthcoming film about climbing in the Lake District where top local cragster Dave Birkett (as seen on one of his many spectacular routes top left) will play a starring role.
