In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

Can anyone explain how the scoring system works? I know how it works, but what does

1t3 and 1b1 mean?

Thanks

In reply to Jon Redshaw: The scoring system is as follows:

1t3 1b1 means that the climber topped the problem on the 3rd attempt but got the bonus on the 1st attempt (bonus really means tie break)

The sum might show 4t9 6b12 which means that the climber got to the top of 4 out of 6 problems in a total of 9 attempts (attempts on a problem that you don't climb don't count) and they got all 6 bonus holds in a total of 12 attempts.

The number of tops is the 1st 'sort by', then no. of attempts, then no. of bonus' then no. of attempts

Cheers, makes sense now, is a good way to waste an afternoon at working, slowly watching Mark Croxall work his way down the list
