Beeston Castle - a large, mainly natural crag (besides the lower quarried run), does anyone want to tell me why there are no climbs there??

The rock is crap.
The owners of the castle (National Trust, or whoever) don't allow it.

There are - or were - climbs there. The crag is documented in the guidebook Cheshire Sandstone Climbing, but access for climbing is forbidden. I can't remember if the guide actually lists the routes, or just describes the crag. I'll have a look later maybe.
