In reply to Richard Carter:

* End fight in film "Best of the Best"

* Blade always gets the adrenaline goin! lol
Ribenaberry 18 Dec 2007
There's a Jackie Chan film called 'Who Am I?'. It's awful but the fight scenes at the end are pretty incredible.

In reply to Richard Carter:

The final sword fight in The Adventures of Robin Hood, the one with Errol Flynn.

The sword fighting in Romeo & Juliet, between Romeo and Tybalt (Micheal York as Tybalt).

I'll also cast a vote for Ed Norton V's Himself in Fight Club, I mean to even consider fighting yourself is hilarious.

Then there's the subway scene in Matrix.

And let's not forget King Arthur vs The Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
In reply to TRDSpitfire:

You forgot Bourne Ultimatum, he does some proper duffing up of multiple secret agents in the Waterloo Station scene.
TRDSpitfire 18 Dec 2007
In reply to Rockmonkey680: just a shame the films arent as good as the books, the fight scenes would be even better!

In reply to Richard Carter:
The corridor fight in Old Boy is one of the silliest fight scenes ever committed to film, especially considering it comes in the middle of an otherwise emotionally intense film.

In reply to Richard Carter:

Colin Firth and Hugh Grant in Bridget Jones, had me in stitches, especially when they stop to sing happy birthday! Oh, and they fight like girls!

An awful Jackie Chan film?
You want awful?
Try "The Big Brawl".
At least you can attempt to watch Ed Wood movies.
.......this is much, much, worse.

In reply to Richard Carter:

gotta say that the lightsabre fight in Episode 1 was the best lightsabre fight there is.

Also, how about Jet li Vs Donny yen in Hero- that was pretty special, even amongst all the other fight scenes in there.

the totally random fight scene in matrix 2 in the mansion lobby kind of place with a shed load of weapons, (another decent fight scene in an otherwise VERY average vergin on crap film),

thats all i can come up with at the moment... but im sure i'll think of some more during the meeting Im about to head off to...

Viggo Mortensen in Eastern Promises.

In reply to Richard Carter: I liked the nose mashing scene in Pans Labyrinth. A bit of a one-sided fight that.
 Blue Straggler 18 Dec 2007
In reply to 220bpm:

Thing about Hero is that there is not one weaponless fight sequence.

To be honest the greatest action/fight sequence in any film is the expulsion-from-the-temple scene in Twin Warriors. Astonishingly choreographed and performed.

Surprised none of the boys have weighed in with the Sarah Carter / Holly Valance fight in the rain in D.O.A.

Or Arneeee vs. Kristanna Loken in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

In reply to Richard Carter: It has to be "Enter the dragon" for me, especially the uncut version.
 Peakpdr 18 Dec 2007
In reply to pwhiteside: close mate it has to be .. the way of the dragon fight between bruce lee and chuck norris
pwhiteside 18 Dec 2007
In reply to pauldr: That is awesome, you are right. Fist of fury has some moments too, infact, any Bruce Lee film usually leaves me feeling like I want to kick someone and then make a silly noise afterwards.

In reply to pwhiteside:

but not buy a trampoline, thank goodness.
phew that stuff gets tiring.
When Lee picks up those chucks......
head for cover and quick. lol

brilliant. a mate from L.A. was/is equally adept with them.
though novices making their own is always ill advised.
BONK!.....every time.

Clint Eastwood

Good Bad and the Ugly

Clint doesnt look at his 'victims' until they begin to fall of roofs etc. and there's no blood either. So it's not possible to determine if he got them.

(could almost say that it's good, harmless fun ?: well maybe not )

I don't know if they're the best and I don't care.

But when she puts on that rubber cat suit and
dyes her hair black....picks up a shotgun or a crossbow
does it get any better?

.....nope.
 Mystery Toad 18 Dec 2007
In reply to Richard Carter:

A very brief scene but it is startling. Very effective and frightening.

From "Tombstone"

"....I'm your huckleberry"
"....Alright lunger, let's do it".

In reply to Richard Carter:

The Ninth Configuation. An odd but brilliant film, by William Peter Blatty.
Stacey Keach kills an entire bar full of Hells Angels in under a minute with his bare hands...
