Lubricating my bits

My cams need a good bit of tlc. Plan to wash them in luke warm water and brush them with my toothbrush to get out any nasty bits. After drying what would you reccomend for lubricating them with and how do you apply it? Shoud I work it in to the mechanism by working the trigger?

That's pretty much what I did with mine. You can get cam lube but I just used WD40. I used it on the gate of my QDs too and it's made an amazing difference. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to climb on QDs that didn't need the door to be manually shut!
