Do people get friends to vote positively on their photos?

I think its pretty sad to think that you'd take the time to upload a picture then e-mail/call a friend and ask them to vote on your pic just so you can boast your ego a little in the super critical elitist world of UKC. But Im sure all the top ten do it. I bet they even have hundreds of identities to vote on their own pics! some even pay strangers to vote whilst at work!

And that is why on the very odd occasion I'm over the moon when one of mine hits the top ten.

Ok twice but seeing the quality of images on this site it doen't half make my head swell for half an hour or so.
