Am planning to wander past there in a few weeks time,
Not climbed on that type of rock before, anything worth knowing
in terms of gear choices? its a long way back to the car if I leave anything behind.....

I would recommend some pegs - not sure how 'pc' pegs are these days, but I was advised on their use on the Ben Alder massif when I climbed there in the mid 90's, and they worked! there is a bit of advice in the SMC central highlands route uide preamble to this part of the world I recall.

Some wood/coal for the bothy is also advise - as there is very little/none in the bog thereabouts anymore.
