Saturday night saw the reception for the opening of an exhibition of photographs and the launch of a book by Henry Iddon at Dove Cottage, Grasmere, home of the Wordsworth Trust

Me too. I'm an admirer of Henry's photography but unfortunately I couldn't get there on Saturday.
My invitation has on it a very simple photo of a trigpoint, a featureless strip of grass and lots of sky. I took one look and said "that looks like Helvellyn summit" before turning the card over to see that indeed I was right.
"Mother you are such an incredible nerd!" exclaimed my daughter.

Kids eh? They just don't understand.
